All about me. . .

For those of you that are interested, here is a little information about me. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with a degree in Hearing Impaired Education. I then went back to school to get my education in Learning Disabilities and Behavior Disorders. I have been teaching for 16 years. In the past, I have worked with junior high behaviorally and/or emotionally disabled students in a self contained school. I also have worked in a inclusive 4th/5th grade classroom that housed students with learning disabilities and behavioral/emotional disorders. I worked in the resource setting for 7 years prior to coming to Tri-Point. I am now happy to be working here at Tri-Point. I enjoy working with all of my students and watching them grow both in their academics and personal lives. I am almost finished with my masters degree in Educational Leadership. I am planning to get my certification for director of special education or principalship. Teaching, family and school keeps me busy!
I am married to Terry, who is a farmer. We live near Kempton with
our 2 children. Aaron is a 5 year old. He is at Tri-Point also in
Mrs. McMillan's Kindergarten class. Kasandra is a precocious 2 year
old and growing in leaps and bounds. We have a wonderful time with
our children. Being a parent is the best job in the world, with
teaching being a close second. I think I am the luckiest person in
the world!
