Computer Lab Guidelines

September 09, 2008

Computers and

Study Skills

  1. If there is anything I can do to help you, please ask, and if there is anything you can do to help me, please do so. It will make working together enjoyable. Do your best and you will be pleased with what you have learned. Good manners, polite words and tone of voice are expected.
  2. Raise your hand and wait to be called on to ask or answer a question.
  3. Be seated and ready to start class when the bell rings.
  4. The clean up bell will ring a few minutes before the end of class. Save your work and put away your folder.
  5. No gum! Cough drops OK if needed-just tell me.
  6. We will use a number/percent for all grades. Example: 90 B+ Your report card grade will be an average of the grades of the 20 projects and the blue class cooperation sheet.
  7. Projects earning an A, B, or C will be recorded in the grade book. Projects needing much improvement, D or F, will be returned to the student with suggestions marked and need to be corrected to raise the grade. I believe all students can do well in this class.
  8. All projects may be corrected to raise the grade at any time. Just write "Please recheck" on the grade sheet. I believe we learn from our mistakes.
  9. Keep track of your grades on the front cover sheet of your projects.
  10. You will need to work at a steady pace of 2-3 projects per week to get finished with the 20 projects of the quarter. If you waste time you will not get finished, plus you will be disturbing others. Fridays are a catch up day for students who have been absent or for those needing more help or more time. Check the calendar to see how many projects you need to have done by that week for Friday Free Choice
