"Eggsciting Eggsperience" for 4th Grade Science
By Mathew, 8th Grade Computer Class Student
April 11, 2008
We received the eleven fertilized eggs from the University of Illinois Extension Office in Pontiac, Illinois. We placed them in the incubator on Tuesday, February 19. It takes 21 days for the eggs to hatch. We had seven out of our eleven eggs hatch.
They will be picked up and taken to a Livingston county farmer on Friday, March 14. The classes have discussed how the chick develops in the egg during the 21 day incubation period. Mrs. Connie Hitchens is the 4th grade teacher for this project.
