Mrs. Tkachuk’s Fourth Grade Music Class students have been working on a project for the past few weeks. They had to pick a music artist who writes their own music. After they picked someone they had to find some information on them. The students had to find the height, age and other things about them. Then they had to get pictures off the internet. Finally they were able to put together the poster.
I interviewed the students to see what they liked about the project and what they learned about the musician.
Lindsey-Other people get to see what music you like to listen to.
Anna-I like that we get to learn about people who write and sing their own music. My person is Billy Ray Cyrus. He is fun and has four kids. I like his song that is called Achy Breaky Heart.
Katie-I like that you get to learn about your favorite musician. I learned that Billy Ray Cyrus was going to be a baseball player.
Olivia-I like working with my group. I learned about Vanessa Ann Hudgens and what she is like.
Drew-I like the project because I get to pick out my favorite singer. I learned the names of his awards.
Ben-I learned that Steve Perry was with 6 different bands. I liked the project because we don’t have to sing for 2 weeks.
Brock-I like the songs he wrote like Gone Country. I learned that he won 12 awards. I also learned that he sold over 6 million copies of his CD’s.
Rachael-I learned that Toby Kieth was born in Australia. I love the project because it is fun to do.
Coltyn-I like his albums like Here in the Real World. I learned that he won a music talent show at the age of 8.
Caitlyn-I liked learning about Gretchen Wilson. She is my favorite singer. I learned that she was born June 26, 1973.
Kodee-I like that we can learn about music and the musician I like.
Job-I learned that Brad paisley has over 300 songs.
Markie-I learned that the person I picked was born October 9, 1940.
