Veteran's Day Assembly

November 12, 2009

On November 11 we held an assembly at Tri-Point Elementary and Jr. High School for Veteran’s Day. Mr. Hitchens welcomed everyone to the assembly. 

The kindergarten signed the Pledge of Allegiance.

 Mrs. Saunders directed the Choir in singing The Star Spangled Banner. Then Mr. Hitchens introduced Major William Geasa.He talked to us about what Veteran’s Day really means. He read us a poem his wife had sent him. He had us recognize the veterans who were there by having them stand. Mr. Hitchens introduced the band and its director, Mrs. Saunders. They played America the Beautiful.
