8th Grade English Class Students Help Kindergarden Create Gingerbread Houses

On December 17,  Mrs. Knilands' 8th grade English students helped Mrs. McMillan's Kindergarten class make gingerbread houses to take home for Christmas.

We used ice cream cones, sprinkles, icing, and graham crackers for the houses. It took about the whole class period to make the houses. From my point of view, it was really fun to help them make the gingerbread houses and they enjoyed it.

Some of the kids put icing on the whole bottom of the cardboard and put sprinkles on it to make it look like snow. They used the ice cream cone for the Christmas tree and they put candies, sprinkles, and icing as well. I love helping the Kindergarteners make their gingerbread houses because they think of us as heroes, because we are older then they are, and it makes them happy that older kids would take their time to help them.
