Right before Christmas break we started the Olympics. Then, after we came back from break, we started on some t-shirts. We all got to bring some plain white t-shirts and then thank Mrs. Lucht for having some paint. The way we did the t-shirts was when your team wasn’t playing you could work on your t-shirts. The way Mr. Sieg told us how to do it was to put your country's flag on the front and your name on the back. You could put a number on the back but you didn’t have to. It took us about a week and a half to make them. You could work in groups or independently.
The sports we are playing are whiffle ball, dodge ball, volleyball, and floor hockey. We have already played whiffle ball and floor hockey. The sport we are playing now is dodge ball. The next sport we'll be playing is volleyball.
We also had to make posters and a report about our country. We had to write one paragraph on our country. We had to explain what kind of sports they play. For the posters we got to work on them in study hall and at home. Also, on our poster, we could us markers, colored pencils, or crayons.
There are 6 teams. When two teams are playing you either got to work on t-shirts or cheer on a team. For dodge ball we have to sit on the side that we think is going to win, then if the side you are on loses, you have to do five push-ups. The teams are Jamaica, Australia, Chile, China, Mexico, and Fiji. Each team has about 6-9 players. There are some times when there's more people on one team then the other.
