Hi, My name is Dana Phipps-Arnett and I am the 6th,7th, and 8th grade Special Education Teacher at Tri-Point Junior High School. I am very excited about working with the students here at Tri-Point. I am starting my fifth year of teaching. I have my Associates of Arts and Associates of Education from New Mexico State University from Alamogordo, New Mexico. I also have a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education from Delta State University from Cleveland, Mississippi. I hold my LBS1 in Special Education which I received here in Illinois.
I have two daughters that attend Saunimen Elementary, one in 4th grade and the other is in 7th grade. My third child is a boy that was born in August of last year. It makes it intresting to now have a year old and a thirteen old in the same house. My husband and I enjoy living in this area and growing vegetables in our garden and taking care of our family. We have lived in this area in four years and look forward to growing in this community.
I look forward to meeting with the students and the parents that I will be working with and will be available to help wherever needed. My goal is to have students have a productive and successful school year. I work with the students to help them reach their potential and help them to keep on striving for the goals we all want to meet.
My door is always open for my students, parents and staff. I will try my best to help anyone who needs it.
Thank you
Dana Phipps-Arnett
