Speech Team

I am happy to announce that this is the year that we are starting up our new speech team for Tri-Point Jr. High. Students from 6th to 8th grade are invited to join. This activity will help the students with communication and drama. It is a great activity to help students meet new people and to interact with their friends in a positive way. I will soon be putting together a practice schedule and a list of the rules and regulations and the contracts that will given at the time the students choose their selections. We have places for small group acting(3-5 people), regular duet acting(2 people), poetry, solo and chorale reading. The practice schedule will be held once a week for about 20 to 30 minutes. We will also need at home help to let the students practice in front of parents or guardians. This is a great way to get the students to memorize their piece. I look forward to working with the students and also seeing parents at this years speech contest. We will have a great time. Thank you, Dana Phipps-Arnett Literary Sponsor
