Work is moving forward on six health/life safety projects at the Piper City school building. These projects are replacing the gymnasium floor, replacing the roof drainage system on the junior high school building, replacing the lighting and ceiling in the junior high school corridor, upgrading the electrical system, installing a new perimeter drain system, and installing a new septic system. The conclusion of the health/life safety work at the Piper City building will result in a safe and pleasant school setting for the students and staff members at the upper elementary/junior high school. Each of these projects will be finished or near completion by August 19th, the first day of school. Any remaining work will not delay the beginning of the school year. School will start on Thursday, August 19th as previously scheduled.
Another update on the health/life safety projects will be posted in the near future.
Steve Fink,
Superintendent
