GETTY MUSEUM

This museum originally started in the house of J. Paul Getty (an oil tycoon and art collector) and grew to include two campuses.  Its website promotes an understanding of the visual arts.

LOUVRE MUSEUM

This is the largest art museum in Paris, France and its website contains selected works from the collection, educational resources, an 'Artwork of the Day' page, and virtual tours, including: 'The Advent of the Artist' ' and 'Furusiyya: Chivalry Between East and West'.

MUSEUM OF MODERN ART (MoMA)

MoMA is located in New York City, NY and it was one of the first museums devoted to the 'modern' art movement was founded in 1929 in midtown Manhattan.  The museum's website contains its collection, virtual tours, projects, podcasts, and an online magazine.
