I want to take a moment to let everyone know the schedule for the 8th grade during finals week at the high school.
Monday, December 18 - 8th grade starts at the high school - final exam review
Tuesday, December 19 - 8th grade starts at the junior high
Wednesday, December 20 - 8th grade starts at the high school - math final exam
Thursday, December 21 - 8th grade starts at the junior high
If your student is absent on Wednesday for the final exam, they will start their day on Thursday at the high school to make up the final.
If you have any questions, please call the junior high at 815-686-2247.

JH boys basketball took on Odell tonight. 5/6 won 13-10. Leading scorers were Damian Amador with 6 points Jaxx Hitchens had 4, Monty Manning had 2 and Connor Burton had 1.
7th grade lost 24-16. Leading scorers were Brynner Dietz and Tyler Martinez with 5 points. Jesse Small had 4 and Theo Angus had 2.
8th grade won 43-6. Leading scorer's were Rafael Campos with 12, Bryce Rock with 10. Miguel Amador, JP Odette and Roberto Pozos had 4. Channing Durbin had 3, Connor Metke had 2 and Trevor Condon had 1. They improve to 12-3

Attention Charger Families This is an update to the December calendar. December 8th will now be a 2:10 dismissal. The Boys and Girls Club in Piper will also start immediately after school at 2:30 for those students who attend.
JH boys basketball took on St. Malachy tonight with all three levels playing. 5/6th lost 27-12. Leading scorers were Stephon Simmons with 8 points. Amarri Fagan and Damian Amador had 2 a piece. 7th grade lost 54-5. Leading scorer was Damian Amador with 3 and Theo Angus with 2. 8th grade won 36-25. Leading scorer were Miguel Amador and Rafael Campos with 13 each. Bryce Rock had 8 and Connor Metke had 2.
Attention for Boys and Girls Club:
On December 14th; Boys and Girls Club will have an early release of 4:30PM. Please make arrangements for your student to be home early that day if they are parent pick up. If you pick up your students here in Piper , please do so at 4:30.
Students that ride the bus will still leave Piper at 5:00pm (normal shuttle time)
Student will be supervised until their bus comes in.

Tri-Point Upper Elementary & Junior High:
Recently we began issuing Positive Office Referrals! This was started in order to promote the positive behaviors that so many of our students display here at school. When students make positive choices, they receive a Positive Office Referral. They are given a prize and entered to win a monthly drawing for larger prizes! Congratulations to Trevor Condon, Allison Kennedy and Max Weller on receiving the first Positive Office Referrals.

8th grade boys basketball takes 3rd place in the TCC Tournament beating GCMS 38-33. Miguel Amador was leading scorer with 21 points and going 10 for 10 at the free throw line. Bryce Rock had 9 points, knocking down 2 three pointers. Rafael Campos had 6 points and JP Odette had 2 points. Congratulations Chargers!
