7th Graders take "Cell-fies." They were amazed to take pictures of their own cheek cells up close using the microscopes and camera lenses. "That's me!" shouted Brooklynn. They were able to identify their cell membranes, nuclei, and observe other parts of their cells,. This week they'll get to observe cell respiration in yeast by making fresh pretzels!

Music students at the upper elementary/junior high building were treated to a presentation from Dan Schultz, a lighting designer who tours with a variety of music groups. Dan is originally from Gibson City and has been in the lighting field for 17 years. We were very interested in learning about what he does, who he's worked for, and other jobs that are available in the touring end of the music industry.
