Yesterday was the last Charger Community Reading Day for the 2023/2024 school year. Thank you so, so much to all of our community members that came in to listen to our first graders read. Next year we will start our CCR days in September and go throughout the year until April. Watch for a post in August for when to call to sign up.

The Spring Concert for the Lower Elementary students Kindergarten thru 3 will be at 5:30 on Thursday May 18, 2023 at the Lower Elementary School in Kempton in the East building.
Our second graders participated in a construction unit earlier this month to help with math and reading skills
All of our Kindergarten to 3rd grade students participated in National School Bus Safety Poster Contest sponsored by the Illinois Association for Pupil Transportation. The 2023 poster theme was “Safely Rolling to My Destination.”

All the Kindergarten and 1st grade art students participated in the "Agriculture is Everywhere" coloring contest sponsored by Livingston County Agriculture in the Classroom .
Ronan Tomko won 1st place. He received a certificate, a $20 Wal-Mart card, and a copy of the SWCD newsletter showing his entry. His winning image made into postcards to send out to local farmers and also made into bookmarks to shared with all kindergarten and first grade students.

The Lower Elementary is doing a fundraiser with Fun Pasta Fundraising! The students will be bringing home order forms today or ordering may be done on-line at

This fundraiser will help the Lower Elementary with our fun days at the beginning and end of the year, field trips, and supplies for the school store where the students can spend their dojo dollars earned each month.
