Upper Elementary/Junior High School:

It was another close couple of matches for the junior high school Scholastic Bowl team at regionals last night.
Against Normal Calvary, the two teams were tied until the last three questions! Ending with a score of 200 TP - 255 Calvary.
Against Normal Metcalf, our Chargers were ahead until the last four questions, when Metcalf pushed forward gaining control of those last four questions. Ending score: 250 TP - 310 Metcalf.
Our students looked great on the boards: Colton earned 40 points. Monty buzzed in for 40 points. Tucker secured 40 points. Grace scored 40 points. And new to the team, Kade, snagged 10 points which yielded a team sweep of 30 more points.
Altogether in bonus rounds the team brought in 180 points!
This Regional Tournament closed out the season with a 6-10 record. Four losses in the season were by 50 points or less, which would've flipped the record!
We congratulate our team for all their hard work and we look forward to next year!!
Way to go Cassidy, Colton, Kai, Grace, Monty, Tucker, Sammy, Lucy, and Kade!!

The Junior High Scholastic Bowl team traveled to the Twin County Conference tonight. It was a real nail-biter at the end when they were tied with GCMS and had to go into a tiebreaker! Unfortunately, GCMS came out with the win, but what a great effort from our Tri-Point Chargers! They also played Cissna Park and fell behind in the second half.
Each question is worth 10 points. Monty buzzed in 8 correct answers for 80 points. Tucker earned 50 points. Grace brought in 30 points. Colton earned 20 points and rocked it in geography against GCMS. Kade added 10 points to the team. In the bonus rounds, the team collectively earned 260 points!
Regionals are in Normal on 4/29.

NO intramurals tomorrow. It will be added to the end, which would be April 29th
