The 8th grade class spent their day learning about history in Chicago and many of the lessons they remembered from class: Al Capone and prohibition, the 1919 Race Riots, Haymarket Riots, Chicago fire and Chicago Stockyard reform. Many saw the Bean for the first time and went up into a skyscraper 103 floors for the first time! Such a fun experience!

Our 8th grade class really enjoyed the businesses and services represented at the Saunemin Elementary School's 5th Annual Career Fair today!
There was a great representation of local and state businesses and services. The kids liked the interactive displays and swag!
Personally, I was really proud of how our students were engaged, respectful, and asking questions.

JH Track :
Today’s track meet in Watseka has been cancelled. The team will have practice after school.

UE/JH Student Dress Up Days :

Last night was the Regional Tournament for Junior High Scholastic Bowl. Tri-Point won the first match decisively over Roseville-Alvin, but were edged out of making it to the Championship round by a 5 point loss in the second match.
It's been a great season! Please congratulate your Chargers for a job well done. They ended their season with a 4-1 record in conference and 5-6 overall. And also brought home the 3rd place trophy from the Twin County Conference!
All but our two 8th graders were brand new to Scholastic Bowl. They have taken to learning the game very well in their first season!
Congratulations Brynner, Kara, Colton, Tucker, Monty, Sammy, Peyton, Grace, and Max!

JH Track :
The track meet is ON for today
