Attendance letters will be mailed home this week. This will be for students who fall into certain categories per the student handbook.
Things to keep in mind when receiving these letters;
-These letters are computer generated by Teacherease.
-Sometimes as parents, we lose track of how many days our children have missed. These can just be used has a helpful reminder.
-Doctor, Dentist and legal notes (while appear in the total days spent outside the classroom) are not held against students in final days total for the office.
-Doctor, Dentist and legal notes can always be turned in to have the days moved to documented.
-Truancy will only be referred after a parent meeting with principal. Our goal is to resolve the attendance issue and see the student(s) improve, before that step is taken.
If you ever have any questions, please call the school office at 815-686-2247
Thank you
