
The Junior High Scholastic Bowl team is now 3-0 with their latest victory! Final score against Cissna Park Monday night 280-160.
Owen brought in 90 points! Brynner scored another 30 points. These 120 points led us into bonus rounds where the team earned a combined 160 points!!
Keep it up Chargers and way to go!!!

The JH Scholastic Bowl team secured a win over Prairie Central 255-150.
Owen buzzed in for 8 correct toss up questions for 80 points, Brynner answered 2 correct for 20 points, and Trevor and Kara each brought in 10 points each. Each toss up took us into bonus rounds where the team earned a combined 135 points.

Candy bar sales start today for the UE/JH!!
-All money made from sales... goes to the the Student Incentive Fund. (This pays for field trips, fun days, etc.).
-Tri-Point UE/JH appreciates all student, family and community participation in fundraiser sales!!!!!
Please Remember:
-No door to door sales (for student safety ).
-If your student takes a box , $60 needs returned to the school.
-Student are welcome to sell as many boxes as they like. (additional boxes cannot go out until sold box's money is returned).

Reminder :
*On Friday, March 8, 2024, the 4th-8th grade will take a reward trip to the Onarga Theater for a movie day. The junior high will be on a shortened bell schedule in order to attend all classes prior to leaving. Students will eat lunch before departing for the movie theater at 12:00. The movie will start at 1:00. We will return to school by 3:00 for regular dismissal.
*The school will provide each attending student with popcorn and a drink. Students may also bring no more than $5 to purchase movie theater candy. Students who do not earn the trip, will stay back at the school with Mr. Schmale.

Tri-Point JH 8th Grade Volleyball traveled to St. John’s Buckley for the first round of regionals today. Unfortunately Tri-Point fell short to Donavon in 2 sets: 18–25 and 20–25. Khloe Miller-Dyrby had 3 aces, 1 dig and 2 kills. Madelyn Yohnka had 4 kills. Myah Mettille had 2 aces, 2 digs, and 1 assist. Brooklyn Hunt had 1 dig. Josie Harris had 4 aces, 8 assists. Ella Thorndyke had 2 aces, 2 digs, and 1 assist. Addy Honeycutt had 4 digs and 1 kill. Congratulations to the 8th grade team on their season of 6–10.

Good afternoon,
The 7th grade will be taking their annual field trip to Springfield on Friday, March 1. We have had a slight change in our plans for that morning. The Capitol Building is expecting us to arrive by 9:45 for our building tour. To make sure that we arrive on time, we have moved up the departure time to allow us to make our destination on time. The new pick up times are listed below.
Cullom - 6:50 a.m.
Kempton - 7:00 a.m.
Piper City - 7:20 a.m.

"We won! We won! We won!" Bringing out our inner Hamilton tonight as the Scholastic Bowl team secured victory at the first game of the season! IW 60 points and Tri-Point 255.
High scorer for the team was Owen Griner with 110 points in Toss Up questions. Brynner brought in 2 Toss Up wins for 20 points and Max earned the team another Toss Up for 10 points.
As a whole team in Bonus Rounds, they brought in another 115 points!! WAY TO GO, TEAM!!
