Good morning,
Tri-Point Upper Elementary/Junior High School will begin taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) Test in the coming weeks. The IAR is the state assessment for Illinois students enrolled in a public school district. This test assesses the Illinois Learning Standards and is administered in English Language Arts and Mathematics to all students in grades 3-8.
I wanted to share the IAR schedule with you for the upcoming month. The dates for testing are listed below.
4th/5th Grades
Reading - March 23 & 25
Math - March 24, 26, & 27
Junior High
Reading - March 23 & 25
Math - March 20, 24, & 26
In addition to testing dates, I also want to share some test preparation resources. The first link is a tutorial webpage. This site allows students to become more familiar with the testing platform that is used for IAR testing. Students can learn about the different testing tools that are used on the IAR test. The second link offers students the opportunity to take computer based practice tests.

**We appreciate the families and communities, as we start the biggest fundraiser for the school. All money earned goes directly to students for field trips, positive incentives, and end of the year celebrations!!****
*Candy Bars will go home on Monday, March 2nd with students who signed up to sell this year.
Reminders:
Please remember.......
-If a student takes a box to sell, $60 dollars must come to the school. We cannot take back unsold candy bar returns any longer for health reasons.
-Please do not let students go do - to - door. Students should sell to only people they know. Student safety is most important!!
-Students are allowed to start on their next box, once the previous box is paid for.
-If a student is done selling , they only have to tell the office to end their fundraiser once all money has been turned in.
-Two boxes will earn students a field trip to Urban Air in Bloomington.
-Classroom teachers do not handle the fundraiser... so please contact Danielle Hack.
*If you have any questions about the fundraiser , please call the office at 815-686-2247.
