The high school all sports awards banquet has a time change. The banquet will still be on Thursday May 18th, but the time is now 7 pm in the high school gym.
Congratulations to the high school girls track team for their 3rd place finish at the Prairie Central Invite last Saturday 4/15. Top finishers were Lainey Bertrand with a 2nd place finish in in the 300m hurdles. Kasi Hughes was 2nd in shot put, and Adriana Hummel was 1st in long jump.
Congratulations to Katelyn Poe of the girls high school track team. She broke the 400 meter school record at the Tony Thorsen Invitational this week with a time of 1:06.46. Other track stars for the Chargers were Adrianna Hummel with a 2nd place finish in long jump, and Rosmond Prisock with a 6th place finish in the 400 meter race. For the boys team, Nate Smith finished 2nd in the 1600 m.
The NHS 5k run and 2 mile walk early registration deadline is quickly approaching. In order to get a t-shirt, registration forms need to be in by Saturday April 22nd. Cost is $25 for the run or walk. Participants can register after this date until the 3 pm run/walk time on Sunday, May 7th. All proceeds go towards walk path exercise stations and trees. This is just a reminder that tomorrow, Wednesday April 19th, is a scheduled 1 hour late start.
The FFA and NHS groups spent the morning and afternoon planting trees with the lower elementary kids. They were a big help with the 20 trees that went around the walk path. The groups would also like to thank Prairie Materials for providing the trees and extra hands to get this job done. We greatly appreciate their help!
Health requirements by grade level
Please make sure that you check to see if your child needs a physical/immunizations, eye or dental exam for school next year and schedule your appointments early. Please remember to turn the forms into the school office.

High School Cheerleading tryouts will be on Monday, April 24th ; 5:30-7:30 @ the high school. This will include incoming freshman. if you have any questions please contact Amber Crouch @ 815-686-2247.

The high school girls softball game with Illinois Lutheran is canceled today (4/5). The game is rescheduled for April 26th.
High School Sport Schedule for the week of April 3rd
The girls softball games against Momence tomorrow (Saturday 4/1/23) are cancelled. They will be rescheduled for a later date. There is softball practice tonight in Kempton until 5 pm.
