Congratulations to our Food Science team for placing 3rd at the section contest on Thursday night! Students had to complete a marketing plan for a food product, take a written exam, and complete several activities related to sensory science, math, and food safety. Khayman Essington took home 1st place individually and first-time competitor Hunter Davies was 3rd! Great job everyone!

On Saturday 3/22, Tri-Point FFA members Mason Riebe and Kadie Hummel competed at Illinois FFA State Awards Day at Mt. Zion High School. We're proud to announce that they both received 1st place in the state in their areas and will now submit applications to be judged at the national level! Mason's Vegetable Production SAE involves his business Mason's Peculiar Pumpkins where he grows many varieties of ornamental pumpkins and sells them locally and commercially in the fall. Kadie has 2 SAEs in the area of Goat Production; one where she raises and shows market wethers on the state and national level, and one where she works for Hummel Livestock in their goat operation. Both students had to show a significant amount of time, earnings, and skills as well as demonstrate a high level of agricultural knowledge in their areas. They will be recognized on stage at the Illinois FFA State Convention in June. Congratulations to both!

Charger Parents/Guardians We are once again asking for your participation by taking part in the annual 5 Essentials Survey at the link below. The 5Essentials Survey provides valuable feedback from parents, students, and teachers, allowing us to assess areas of strength and opportunities for growth. The data gathered from this survey plays an essential role in shaping our school improvement plans, including adjustments to our handbook and other key aspects of our school operations. https://survey.5-essentials.org/illinois/?target_name=parent&p=1 You will need to use Livingston County to find our 3 schools.
