This is a message for all 6th through 12th grade families:
The Livingston County Sheriff's Department conducted an unannounced drug search of the high school and junior high today.
The school and students are safe and secure-this is an exercise conducted on a random basis at our campus to assure the safety and security of students and staff. During the exercise, trained police dogs are examining areas in and around vacant classrooms, vacant common areas, student lockers, locker rooms, and parking lots.
Please note that individuals are not being subjected to searches by the K-9 units, and the search is not in reaction to any rumor or information we received.
Tri-Point wanted to make you aware of this event in case your child happened to discuss it with you.
If you have any questions, please contact our main office.
Thank you.

We wanted to inform you of a situation at the lower elementary and alleviate any possible concerns. This morning the Kempton Fire Department responded to a call at the Lower Elementary East building due to the smell of smoke and some haziness in the gym during which all students and staff were temporarily moved to the west building. It was discovered that a motor had burnt out on a fan in one of the heating units and there had been no fire. The fire department deemed the building safe to resume the school day although we will refrain from using the gym until it has fully aired out.
